With a central star-shaped appliqué containing a natural pearl, the rim set with small rose-cut diamonds, against a background of black enamel. The silver rim of the brooch is lightly hammered and composed of scroll motifs. Maker's mark partially struck, Henrik Wigström (1862 - 1923). Wigström was a Finnish goldsmith and silversmith, active in Saint Petersburg as one of Fabergé's most important master craftsmen.
